Why you should come:

• Build confidence in your speaking exam technique.

• Learn some great phrases and vocab to show off in the exam.

• Learn more about languages at university.

• Practise, practise, practise!

Agenda:

10:30am - Arrival and registration

10:45am - Introduction to the day // what makes for a Grade A* answer.

11:00am - Speed-networking Practice 1

• Small-group practice rounds with a fluent speaker of your language. Ratios no bigger than 3:1.

• Practising answers to a range of A-level photocards to fluency. Speed-networking-style rotation

12:15 - Lunch & short campus tour

• Packed lunch provided by Languages For All.

12:45 - Exam technique session

• Session led by Languages For All on ensuring success at A-level Speaking Exam. 

13:15 - Speed-networking Practice 2

• Into small-groups by language again, this time participants will pick a different speaking card and co-plan the ideal response in a small group before then practising it.

• Volunteers will complete feedback for each round of practice. 

14:00 - Closing session and feedback

14:30 - Departure
